Newsletter Redesign

iPost was looking to update their newsletter to reflect the look of their newly redesigned collateral system. Redesigned the newsletter to accomodate regular features as well as special sections. The new look incorporated fonts, colors, and photography used in their collateral. Working for iPost, an email marketing specialist, took original photoshop designs and created all necessary files and prepared them for use in email campaigns using their proprietary software, iPost iMM. Campaigns featured brands including Equinox Fitness, Lucy Activewear, Armani, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

User Group Conference

Each year, Innovative Interfaces, a bay area library software development company, gathers over 1500 of its users together in a forum to exchange information and build relationships and communications among users and with the company. Worked closely with program organizers to organize information for over 150 member sessions into a program for all participants. Designed unique theme art for three consecutive years. Produced extensive conference program and related collateral and promotional materials.

iPost, an email marketing company, needed a pair of advertisements to address a concern troubling many email campaigns–that the email message never reaches its target. Using images already in use on their website, designed both a banner and print advertisement, providing multiple iterations and final files in an expedited turn-around time.

With the arrival of a new Marketing Director, Innovative Interfaces sought to redesign their corporate advertising campaign. We began by looking at what made Innovative what it was, and thus a new campaign was born. The goal of the campaign was to target library directors, focus on the product, emphasize technology leadership, all with a bit of fun. The campaign began as advertisements in the Library Journal, but was so well received that it was later expanded to a direct mail postcard campaign. These postcards also became useful as ‘flyers’ for local tradeshows and teaser packets and were distributed in series throughout 2004-2005.

NExpress

Innovative Interfaces was installing a suite of software for a consortium of libraries in the Northeastern United States called NExpress. The NExpress service is a web-based automation service that features flexible searching and the ability for library users to directly place requests for items in the collection of any participating library. As part of the project, we developed an identity for the consortium, that helps to reinforce the searching nature of the product.

Designed, and produced all materials for Innovative Interfaces' 25th anniversary celebration. The celebration featured a 25th anniversary museum that re-created the company’s 25-year history. Conducted interviews with the executive team and collected exhibit materials from the recesses of company storage. Created signage that conveyed the company’s highlights throughout the years. Developed retrospective tag line - Celebrating 25 Years of Being Innovative. Managed the overall celebration, designed and produced all related promotional items including fleece jackets for all employees and lapel pins.

Designed a site, based on an existing brand identity, that provided extensive examples of their work. Created a series of portfolio slide shows, each with numbered images for easy reference by clients. Incorporated customer testimonials to illustrate their superior workmanship and customer satisfaction. Updated portfolios on an annual basis for over five years.

Redesigned the home page to provide users with current product information, news, and upcoming events. Oakland City Auditor

The Oakland City Auditor wanted to update its site to provide the citizens of Oakland with more extensive information about their offices and the services they provide. In addition, they wanted to promote their "Speak Out for Good Government" program.

Revised site architecture to better reflect the users needs when visiting the site. Developed a new, more subdued color palette and formatted text for improved legibility.

Created an extensive report library where users can reference the many reports published by the offices, by report type or key word. Users also have the ability to request a report through an online form.

In addition, the site provides a mechanism for citizen feedback, employment information, and an online staff directory.

Oakland City Attorney

The Oakland City Attorney's office's primary objective in developing a website was to facilitate a dialogue between the people of the city of Oakland and the newly elected City Attorney.

Working for PC Professional, designed the user interface to be friendly and welcoming, using vibrant, inviting colors. To address the needs of the site's target audience, several navigation options are offered for users new to the Internet. The design provides access to valuable civic information; an extensive directory of every member of the Oakland City Attorney's office staff was created to provide the public with telephone numbers, email links and pertinent, individual information.

Extended initial home page design to secondary website sections. Developed organizational chart with links to biographies for all staff members. Produced all HTML pages using cascading stylesheets to maintain formatting consistency. Conducted quality assurance testing and successfully launched site. Developed style guide and conducted maintenance training for Oakland City Attorney staff members.

Vectis, a new venture corporation, which exports proven technology businesses from their existing market to the global marketplace, asked Addis to develop a corporate brand that would express the power of this business model.

Pottery Barn Kids

Pottery Barn Kids already had strong brand equity through its parent company, Pottery Barn, when it began work on its first website. Building on established positioning, Addis created a highly accessible Web site that delights and inspires the user.

Addis

The Addis website had been created using graphic images to display all site content, including all typography. This format did not provide Addis with the flexibility they needed to change site content easily.

Re-built existing Addis website, reducing overall site size by more than 80%. Converted graphic-based files into text-based HTML files while maintaining existing design. Utilized cascading style sheets to maintain design and typographic integrity. Integrated and adapted existing JavaScript code. Successfully launched site. Created site flow diagram and schematic drawings for entire site.

Provided regular site maintenance for Addis website. Projects included creating and optimizing new site graphics, executing text and navigation changes, and submitting site information to search engines. Developed and produced a site style guide that documents the use of color, typography, navigation, and page layout.
