Calling Dr. Clark


Dr. Brian Clark, a local psychologist was establishing a solo practice in Lafayette. Worked with Dr. Clark to design and produce a completely custom website in a few short weeks. Website utilized a fluid layout to adjust to screen, tablet, and mobile viewing platforms. Responsible for all site photography. Site (brianclarkpsyd.com) was successfully launched in November 2012.

Shortly after site launch, developed a series of advertisements to run in local newspapers.  Designed and printed business cards for both office locations.

Vince's Landscaping

A local landscape design and construction firm desired a web presence to showcase their breadth of experience and provide inspiration to clients.

Designed a site, based on an existing brand identity, that provided extensive examples of their work. Created a series of portfolio slide shows, each with numbered images for easy reference by clients. Incorporated customer testimonials to illustrate their superior workmanship and customer satisfaction. Updated portfolios on an annual basis from 2004-1009. The site has since been redesigned.

Being Innovative

Innovative Interfaces was looking to update the look and feel of its existing web site, which had remained unchanged for over two years. Redesigned the home page to provide users with current product information, news, and upcoming events. Revised site architecture to provide access to key product offerings at the top level of the site. Prepared conceptual creative composite designs, developed site templates, and built site. Conducted quality assurance and cross-browser testing and
successfully launched and maintained site for three years.

Buttons, Buttons

Developed a series of over 100 buttons for use in Innovative Interfaces online public access catalog product. Buttons are used by libraries in their patron accessible database to search, locate, save, and request library materials. Created translations of buttons into multiple languages for use by libraries throughout the world.

Oakland City Auditor

The Oakland City Auditor wanted to update its site to provide the citizens of Oakland with more extensive information about their offices and the services they provide. In addition, they wanted to promote their "Speak Out for Good Government" program.

Revised site architecture to better reflect the users needs when visiting the site. Developed a new, more subdued color palette and formatted text for improved legibility.

Created an extensive report library where users can reference the many reports published by the offices, by report type or key word. Users also have the ability to request a report through an online form.

In addition, the site provides a mechanism for citizen feedback, employment information, and an online staff directory.

Prepared conceptual creative composite designs and provided content development support. Programmed all static pages in HTML and conducted extensive quality assurance efforts. Successfully launched site in expedited time frame. Provided site maintenance training and ongoing support.

PC Pro Web Site

PC Professional sought to update their existing website with both a new design and updated content. Revised site architecture to correlate with the primary service offerings of the company - products, technical services, and web development. Developed new, more subdued color palette that incorporated the company colors and formatted text for improved legibility. Incorporated stock photography to add visual interest and texture.

Prepared conceptual creative composite designs and provided content development support. Developed online web design portfolio. Programmed all static pages in HTML and conducted extensive quality assurance efforts. Successfully launched site in expedited time frame.

Visa Travel


Visa's Travel Services division needed a website to provide access to critical company policies and departmental information.

The Primary objective was to promote awareness of planning protocols and to offer travel related information to the user that will result in streamlined internal business processes.

Developed a web-based application that guides the user to correctly follow corporate policy, and put travel planning information at their fingertips.

An extensive database providing all approved worldwide hotel accommodations is available online as well as information on air travel and car rental. The site provides a forum for posting reviews of hotels, travel comments, and departmental feedback.

The site provides all the information and communication documents necessary to successfully plan business travel.

Designed and produced the corporate intranet website with both static and dynamic content. Prepared conceptual creative composite designs and provided content development support. Programmed all static pages in HTML and worked with Cold Fusion programmer to design and integrate database functionality. Conducted extensive quality assurance efforts and provided maintenance training and site documentation.

Visa Corporate Events


Visa's Corporate Events division needed a website to provide access to critical company policies and departmental information related to meeting and event planning.

The primary objective was to promote awareness of planning protocols and to offer event planning information to the user that will result in streamlined internal business processes.

Developed a web-based application that guides the user to correctly follow corporate policy, and put event planning information at their fingertips.

An inclusive database of restaurants, meeting venues, and specialized services in the greater Bay Area is available. Important, and sometimes obscure event planning terms are clarified in an online glossary. In addition, the Intranet site provides a forum for posting reviews of local venues and event services.

The site provides all the information and communication documents necessary to successfully plan both on- and off-site corporate events.

Oakland City Attorney

The Oakland City Attorney's office's primary objective in developing a website was to facilitate a dialogue between the people of the city of Oakland and the newly elected City Attorney.

Working for PC Professional, designed the user interface to be friendly and welcoming, using vibrant, inviting colors. To address the needs of the site's target audience, several navigation options are offered for users new to the Internet. The design provides access to valuable civic information; an extensive directory of every member of the Oakland City Attorney's office staff was created to provide the public with telephone numbers, email links and pertinent, individual information.

Extended initial home page design to secondary website sections. Developed organizational chart with links to biographies for all staff members. Produced all HTML pages using cascading stylesheets to maintain formatting consistency. Conducted quality assurance testing and successfully launched site. Developed style guide and conducted maintenance training for Oakland City Attorney staff members.

Keira Kotler Designs

A local designer needed a web site to promote her work in interior design, fine art and jewelry.

All of the designer's work was based on principles of color theory. Designed and built a web site that reflected the importance of the juxtaposition of colors.

Vectis

Vectis, a new venture corporation, which exports proven technology businesses from their existing market to the global marketplace, asked Addis to develop a corporate brand that would express the power of this business model.

As a freelance artist working for Addis, populated pages with content. Implemented editorial and graphic changes. Created and optimized site graphics. Tested local and beta versions of the site to verify functionality on multiple platforms and browsers. Successfully launched site and provided limited site maintenance.

  

December 14, 2000

Addis

The Addis website had been created using graphic images to display all site content, including all typography. This format did not provide Addis with the flexibility they needed to change site content easily.

Re-built existing Addis website, reducing overall site size by more than 80%. Converted graphic-based files into text-based HTML files while maintaining existing design. Utilized cascading style sheets to maintain design and typographic integrity. Integrated and adapted existing JavaScript code. Successfully launched site. Created site flow diagram and schematic drawings for entire site.

Provided regular site maintenance for Addis website. Projects included creating and optimizing new site graphics, executing text and navigation changes, and submitting site information to search engines. Developed and produced a site style guide that documents the use of color, typography, navigation, and page layout.
